Alicia Davis

Alicia Davis began her dance training at Dance Etc. in Milford, Ohio, where she trained under the direction of Anne Kramer, Julie Marks, and Rebecca Rodriguez-Hodory.
She went on to study Dance Pedagogy at Northern Kentucky University before earning her BFA in Ballet Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. During her training, she studied under Shauna Steele, Jeri Gatch, Donna Weber, Jacqui Haas, Tricia Sundbeck, Isabele Elefson, Deirdre Carberry, Gema Diaz, Shane Ohmer, Kat Wolf, and Hee Ra Yoo.

Alicia has performed as both a soloist and corps member in original contemporary works by Shauna Steele, Heather Britt, Hee Ra Yoo, and Colleen Barnes. Her classical repertoire includes Mazurka and the Female Pas de Deux in Les Sylphides (staged by Deirdre Carberry), Swanhilda’s Friends in Coppélia (staged by Tricia Sundbeck and Isabele Elefson), and Snow and Spanish in The Nutcracker (staged by Deirdre Carberry and Hee Ra Yoo).

Her performance experience has also taken her internationally. Alicia has traveled to Seoul, South Korea, where she performed as a soloist in Hee Ra Yoo’s Almost There at the SDP International Festival, and to Edinburgh, Scotland, where she performed as a soloist in Shauna Steele’s The One You Feed and Where We Remain at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Beyond her university training, Alicia has performed with the Cincinnati Opera in works choreographed by Jessica Lang and with Synergy Dance Project in works by Kat Wolf.

Alicia is thrilled to be joining Azara Ballet this season!
