Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Sylvie Barrero began her dance training at the age of three at Salt Creek Ballet, where she trained through her junior year of high school. In 2023, she joined Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s Pre-Professional Program at Level 8 and subsequently advanced to the Graduate Program, where she has continued her training for the past two years.

Throughout her training, Sylvie has performed in numerous classical and contemporary productions, including Konservatoriet, Alice in Wonderland, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and La Sylphide. She has also attended summer intensive programs at Boston Ballet, Philadelphia Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, Dutch National Ballet Academy, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and Pacific Northwest Ballet.

Sylvie is passionate about artistic growth, technical excellence, and bringing stories to life through performance. She is thrilled to be joining Azara Ballet and looks forward to contributing to the company while continuing to develop as an artist alongside its inspiring dancers and staff.
