Unbound

Our last show of Season 4 will feature an original work by Leiland Charles that is new to Azara Ballet, and two world premieres from Artistic Director Joshua Stayton and Co-Founder/Resident Choreographer Martin Roosaare-Flowers.

After Hours, (Stayton) is a contemporary ballet inspired by the emotional openness that emerges late at night, when social performance begins to dissolve and people reveal softer, more honest versions of themselves.

The Tides, (Charles) is a neo-classical ballet featuring four couples and is deeply inspired by aquatic life and the movement of water. The Trial, (Flowers) a contemporary piece exploring the surreal inner courtroom of the mind where shame, regret, and the inner critic collide in a journey toward self-compassion..
