Sarah Brandon, born in Lubbock, TX, began her dance training at the age of three. She attended various studios until the age of eight when she started studying at Ballet Lubbock under the direction of Yvonne Racz-Key. When she was twelve, Sarah paused her dance training to pursue other interests until the age of seventeen when she began dancing with Christ in the Arts (CITA). During her seven years of dancing with CITA, Sarah attended Lubbock Christian University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Personal Financial Planning. In 2017, Sarah took a break from her own dance training in order to run a dance program where she committed herself to dismantling the toxic mindsets found in the ballet world for the next generation of dancers. In 2019 she received her 200 HR registered yoga teacher certification. She also incorporated several other disciplines into her movement practice such as pole and acro yoga. After a six year hiatus from dance, Sarah’s dream of resuming her own ballet training was realized when she was welcomed into Azara Ballet Company for its inaugural season. Sarah is married to Jared Brandon, her amazing husband of eight years, and they have two wonderful cats together.
